It sits right beneath the Speikboden hiking and skiing area. In winter, subject to sufficient snow cover, ski-in and ski-out access is available, allowing you to hit the slopes right from your doorstep.

  • Bed & bath linen: Fine bed linen, bath towels, hand towels, sauna towels, bathrobes, hair dryers in all bathrooms, and an exclusive toiletries set (shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion).

Can dogs roam freely outdoors?

No. As the property is set in nature and is not fully fenced, dogs must be kept under supervision or on a lead at all times when outdoors. However, numerous walking and hiking trails start directly from your front door.

Is smoking allowed at Historic Chalet Obertreyen?

No. To safeguard our 300-year-old heritage-listed timber structure, smoking is strictly prohibited across all indoor spaces. Guests are welcome to smoke in the outdoor areas.

Is Historic Chalet Obertreyen a ski-in/ski-out property?

Yes. In winter, the chalet is situated right alongside the valley run of the Speikboden ski resort in Sand in Taufers / Tauferer Ahrntal. Provided there is sufficient snow, you can step straight onto the piste from the front door and ski back to the chalet at the end of the day.

  • Distance & travel time: The Speikboden cable car valley station is approximately 3 km from the chalet, taking around 5 to 7 minutes by car via the mountain road.

  • Parking: Ample free parking for skiers is available directly at the Speikboden valley station.

Is the South Tyrol Guest Pass included and what does it cover?
